Social Studies 7: Medieval History (2nd Semester)

Click on the modules page on the left side of your screen. Then go down to today's date and look at everything posted under it. Complete each assignment/activity by following the directions posted. Email me at david.meek@lebanon.k12.or.us if you have any questions. Don't ask me in class what you missed if you don't bother checking the modules page first, because I post EVERYTHING we do in class each day. You could seriously take this class from home if you checked Canvas everyday (but I would rather see you in class!).

Congratulations! You have made it to 7^th grade, a year notoriously full of backpack fumbles, locker explosions, and medieval world history. Few subjects are as interesting or as dramatic as social studies. Some of you doubt this, but I hope to convince you otherwise. History is full of drama, hope, backstabbers, heroes, and villains. Think of yourself as a detective, searching for clues into the past. Ask yourself, why did this happen, what was the result, and how does that long ago event affect me? If you think of history as the plot or story of a movie then it becomes alive in your imagination, and becomes significantly more interesting. Welcome, be safe, learn, and have fun all at the same time.
